He is currently in the Marine Corps Reserves as a navigational aids technician. He is studying electronics system engineering and planning to continue in that field upon completion of his studies. A&amp;M Team Leader Jeremiah Lopez says of James, \u201cHe is always the first to step up and ensure that all of our current and prospective student veterans are well taken care of. James is a model Peer Advisor and the epitome of being a servant leader.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>James explains that, everywhere he goes, family is central to everything he does, whether it\u2019s his biological family, military family, or A&amp;M family. This means that his favorite aspect of being a Peer Advisor is getting to expand his family with fellow student veterans. He loves getting to know the student veterans he is paired with as a Peer Advisor and says that some have even become close friends.
