She is also a peer mentor with the campus Success Peer Mentor program, so the PAVE program is a natural fit! Azjaah is outgoing, always diligent about reaching out to her advisees, and has shown significant leadership in her role, including giving her advisees a tour of the campus during the first week that classes began! Way to go, Azjaah!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>From Azjaah Smith:<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cMy favorite part about being a Peer Advisor is when my peers come to me asking for help, guidance, simple questions, advice, etc. That lets me know that I have created a safe space that they feel comfortable with sharing\/coming to me. I believe everyone needs a person they can go to. I would like to think that my work as a Peer Advisor is to reassure other student vets that they are not alone in this journey.
