She consistently assists with the PAVE program beyond the role of a Peer Advisor and is a wealth of knowledge for any student looking to find their way at the University of Oklahoma. Willow is a fantastic example of a Peer Advisor and puts consistent effort into any project and interaction.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Willow Chrivia:<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cMy favorite part of being a Peer Advisor is definitely watching the stress melt off of the incoming veteran’s shoulders. Being able to say, “hey man, I know how fix this, I know how to order books online, I know where to go to get your parking pass”, and being able to show them where to go, how to do it, and who to talk to, it’s the best. I’m glad that I can make\u00a0the next person’s life easier. I think my work as a Peer Advisor is making the transition from the military mindset and military life to\u00a0civilian and student life easier, even if it is just by knowing that you have someone in your corner\u00a0cheering you on. I know even after having been out for a year, it’s still hard. If it was hard for me, and\u00a0I\u00a0knew<\/em>\u00a0it was going to be hard, I can only imagine how others might feel, especially if this transition\u00a0was a surprise.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
