Grand Valley State receives $1.3M grant to help veterans earn degrees

Grand Valley State's Allendale campusPAVE partner campus Grand Valley State University received a $1.3 million, five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education to provide West Michigan veterans free academic support services to help them complete a degree. Grand Valley has repeatedly been named a gold-level military friendly institution by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency, Veterans Network. Among its goals are  has the following goals assisting with the transition from military to student roles, including participation in Peer Advisors for Veteran Education (PAVE) and creating opportunities for peer interaction.
