He is able to effectively mobilize the student-veteran community and has an excellent knack for understanding their needs. In his first year as Team Leader he’s already recruited 5 student veterans to become Peer Advisors in order to maintain and sustain our program for the Spring Quarter of 2019, due to 10 Peer Advisors graduating. Here at the University of Washington, Tacoma, we are a commuter campus; thus, his work to keep student-veterans around campus and engaged with their peers is of utmost importance.”

From Jeffrey Bantay: “The success of our program at UWT wouldn’t be where it is, if it wasn’t for the men and women who stepped up to become Peer Advisors. My team is passionate at what they do and have empathy for Student Veteran/Military Connected population on campus. I am thankful and humbled to be a Co-Team Leader for an element that aims to provide peer to peer mentorship, ongoing support both on and off campus and aiding Student Veterans/Military-Connected Students in order to have a meaningful and successful college experience here at UWT.”
