November 2019 Peer Advisor of the Month: Bryan Bills, Bowling Green State University

Photo of Bryan BillsFrom Jason Graven, Military Programs Coordinator at BGSU: “Bryan Bills took it upon himself to assist a student having a housing move-in issue due to their deployment. The student needed to move in early but in doing so was faced with increased fees. Bryan made the necessary calls and contacts with individuals to ensure that the student would be able to move onto campus prior their deployment with all associated fees waived. This is only one case of Bryan going above and beyond typical duties associated with the role and he’s been an immense help since the new Veteran Services Coordinator was hired.”

From Bryan Bills: “The proudest accomplishment our team has is being a part of the process to secure a sizeable donation to the military office here on campus. With this donation we are able to give out $15,000 dollars in scholarships for semesters to come. My favorite part of being a Peer Advisor is the opportunity to help military students every day. I get the privilege and honor to continue serving by helping others who have served. Whether it’s with classes or just life advice, I take pride in changing the lives of veterans.”
