University of Oregon Team Leader Jennifer Esparza has done an excellent job prepping for the launch this Fall and maintaining momentum and enthusiasm throughout the normally crazy and hectic time this is for students. She served 11 years in the Marine Corps as an Administrative Specialist and is now majoring in International Studies and Arabic and is applying to law school.
Jennifer worked with University Champion Justine Carpenter on the PAVE application process and since they’ve been implementing PAVE, has been very proactive in firing up the Peer Advisors and supporting them every step of the way. “It’s been great to be able to bring people together who care about veterans issues and make sure they’re receiving enough attention and supporting one another,” she says. One of her goals is to work with and help underprivileged youth in the Middle East and she thinks that the problem-solving skills she’s honing as a Team Leader will be instrumental in doing that work. Way to go, Jennifer!
