November 2020 Team Leader of the Month: Cassadee Jackson, Michigan State University

She took it from being more of a reactionary program, only reaching out periodically, to a very proactive program with constant communication to the students in the program. She’s been a solid leader to the other advisors, making sure they’re taking care of their students and providing content to keep the students engaged. I can’t say enough about how her leadership and initiative for PAVE has helped me focus on more pressing issues at the policy level. She’s at the end of her VA benefits this semester and I’m not sure how I’m going to replace her.”

From Cassadee Jackson: “I am so proud of my team for staying engaged in the program during these trying times. We have been able to increase our reach and connect with more PAVE members than ever before. My favorite part of being a Team Leader is creating meaningful relationships with community and campus resources and connecting them with our student veterans. I am thankful I have the opportunity to act as that link.”
