From Helen Budd, Program Manager, Division of Student Affairs, University of Michigan-Flint: “Kelly is attending UM-Flint all online and is very active “on campus,” despite her geographical distance. She usually advises PAVE students who are also attending all-online because she knows and understands the challenges of being an all-online student and how hard it can be to get a sense of belonging. She has been very active in Student Government and constantly advocates for veterans through her work with a variety of committees. She is very proactive and is always available for her advisees. She is truly an asset to our PAVE team!”

From Kelly Parrott: “The proudest accomplishment, to me, is being able to bring the PAVE program to the Flint campus, physically and via online. This is allowing many veterans to have access not only to fellow peers, but in the capacity that they need. My growth as a leader and being able to support my mentors in their own growth into emerging leaders within the university and community as well.”
